For those totally theme parked-out, there’s Wekiwa Springs State Park, just 16 miles to the north and home to the tranquil waters of the ‘Wild and Scenic’ Wekiva River, where you can kayak or canoe and set up camp on the riverbank.

If you’re hoping to combine Orlando with a beach break can head east to the white sands of Cocoa Beach, home to the famous Ron Jon’s Surf Shop, the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame and plenty of surfers.

Just to the north of Cocoa Beach you’ll find Cape Canaveral, hub of America’s human space program and home to the Kennedy Space Center.
