Getting Around Shanghai

Due to the size of the city, it can be quite a challenge to try and navigate through the city on public transport. Make sure you pick up a map to help figure out where to go and which buses and trains to catch. Although being a major city, Shanghai has some very useful transport links.

Catch the impressive train from the international airport to the city centre and get a feel for the city as soon as you arrive. The train can reach speeds of up to 430 kilometre per hour, so it only takes about eight minutes to get to the city.

Shanghai is a main transportation hub in china, so there are subway trains, buses and taxis to help you get from A to B. Hiring a car is another option, especially if you want to travel outside of the city.
