Getting Around Bangalore

Kempegowda International Airport is an international airport located in Devanahalli about 30 kilometres from Bangalore and can be wise to advise your transfer in advance, although taxis and buses are both available from the airport.

Once in Bangalore the most popular mode of transport for visitors is still auto rickshaw. While you should be charged according to the meter, it’s useful to discuss this before your journey. Both the city’s metro system (parts of which are still under construction) and the bus network, are cheaper ways to travel, although understanding routes can prove tricky for non-locals.
