A Travellers City Guide To Beijing Weather

The climate in Beijing is temperate, and there are four main seasons. The temperatures in the city can vary hugely between day and night. Even though it may be warm in the day, you will need a jumper for some evenings.

Summer is very humid and hot, temperatures can climb to 39 degrees and the city can be crowded. In contrast, during the winter, temperatures can drop to minus 20 degrees. The best time to visit is in the autumn or spring, when temperatures are more pleasant and the city isn’t as busy.
